Our Mission: To rescue, nurture and connect abandoned Weimaraners with forever homes ... one gray dog at a time AWCR provides Weimaraner owners with a place to meet others that enjoy doing things with their Weimaraners. In addition to the social aspect of the club, the Atlanta Weimaraner Club provides for the rescue, care, and adoption of lost, surrendered and homeless Weimaraners. About The Weimaraner Breed
Appearance This breed's short and very smooth gray coat and its unusual eyes give it a regal appearance different from any other breed. The eyes of the Weimaraner may be light amber, gray, or blue-gray. The coat may range from charcoal-blue to mouse-gray to silver-gray. This coloring has also lead to the breed the nickname 'silver ghost' or 'gray ghost.' The coat is extremely low maintenance; it is short, hard, and smooth to the touch. According to the AKC standard, the male Weimaraner stands between 25 and 27 inches (63-68 cm) at the withers. Females are between 23 and 25 inches (58-63 cm). ...
