Roxy is our wonderful 8 year old, neutered, female Weim. She needs a new home because we are unable provide adequate for her with our schedules, the kids and the new baby soon to join our family of five. She is great with all of the kids especially the 2 year old who loves to “ride” on her. But with the school and sports of the older kids, we don’t have time to properly get her out and let her enjoy herself. She has been spending too much time in the basement by herself to be fair to her. Roxy will be at your side all of the time when you are around. She just wants to be part of the family. She listens very well and will hang outside with all of us without a leash with no problem. She loves to visit the neighbor dogs when they come by. In the past, we had an indoor cat which she was very fond of, as well as an outdoor cat. Roxy will stand at your hip on the command “hip”. She will also go to her bed on command “bed”. Roxy is current on all of her shots and rings a bell when she needs to go out.

Luther is a beautiful, approximately one year old, Weimaraner mix, neutered male who was found in our neighborhood in early March 2012 and has been living with our family. He is up-to-date on his shots, on monthly heartworm meds and is housebroken. Per our vet, we think he is about one year old and is mostly Weimaraner perhaps mixed with a lab. Right now, he weighs about 70 pounds but may get a little bigger as he gets older.

Here are some fun-facts about Luther:

He is completely house-trained and does well on a harness leash. He enjoys long walks, playing with other dogs and riding in the car. He is very social with most dogs and other people. He is trained on basic commands – sit, stay, shake. He loves to snuggle and is great with our 7 year old and 9 year old daughters. He is very protective of the house. The doorbell stresses him and he gets nervous if he doesn’t get to meet visitors that may come in the house. He is a hunting dog so he will run if he is off leash especially if he gets a scent of something interesting.

We have fallen in love with this guy but based on our busy house-hold, the fact that we have a cat and getting to know Luther’s love of other dogs, I am not certain that we are the right family for him. Ideally, I think he would do well living on a large property with other dogs. He would also do well with someone that is at home more than we are. He tolerates the kennel but he has such good manners in the house, I think he would do better to have a little more freedom. He does hunt cats so it is very important that his new home be cat free.

Jordan is a beautiful purebred, 7 year old, neutered, male Blue Weim that needs a new home because we are moving for work and will be living in a small apartment. As with all Weims, Jordan is a very loving and he loves to cuddle. He is okay with children, although he will do best with children older than eight or ten. He loves to play catch.
Jordan is up-to-date on his shots, on monthly heartworm meds and is housebroken. Jordan gets along well with most other dogs and is okay with cats. Jordan can do okay in a crate, but he is fine left free roaming in the house alone.
Jordan is afraid of thunderstorms and he barks at strangers in the house, but he warms up quickly. Jordan is eager to please and would make an excellent walking or running companion. He is chipped. We want a home for Jordan that can spend the time with him that he needs.

Hey y’all. My name is Linus and I am 8 years old. I am gray, have a docked tail and I’m pretty handsome, if I do say so myself. I’m looking for a new home because my last family decided they couldn’t care for me any longer. Not only do I look good, but I’m smart, too. I know how to sit, lay down, and shake. Oh, and guess what my foster Mom taught me? She taught me how to use that door that’s just for doggies!! It’s so cool because now I can go outside whenever I like. Yep, gotta love that!

I currently live with four other Weims and I think they like me – I sure like them. We play together and then when we’re all tired, we sleep together, too. I really like sleeping in that big bed that my foster Mom sleeps in and it’s even better sleeping under the covers. One of my favorite pastimes is nooking on my pillow. I really enjoy that and my foster Mom thinks it’s really cute (what a sucker!). I ride ok in the car, but it makes me feel anxious when I do. If the windows are rolled down, it makes me feel better. If you let me get tired before we ride, I’m a much better travel companion. Sometimes I bark when I hear noises, but I don’t bark for no reason. I know a lot of other dogs like me surf the kitchen counter. I do that too, but only occasionally.

Anyway, I don’t know what else I can say about myself – I think I’m pretty great. Would you like to take me home and see just how great I am?

Lizzie was a year old in December, I got her from a “city dweller” that worked a great deal and did not have time for her and we though the country would be the perfect place for her. However, I am unable to keep Lizzie because she cannot understand that our horses are dangerous and will not stay out from under them- she has been kicked and stepped on several times and has been very lucky. I don’t want to see her seriously injured. She is super sweet and loves everyone, she came with some habits like counter surfing and refusing to go in her crate and barking when outside. We have worked on all those and she has responded very well. She is “mostly” housebroken but she is in her crate when I am not here- we taught her to ring a bell when she needs to go out but if there is no one here she will go in the house. She is spayed and micro chipped. She is very food motivated and training with treats is quite effective, she knows basic commands, sit, down, off, out, crate, etc. She loves to ride in the car. She prefers being an “inside dog”. She is not much of a barker but will pace and whine when she can’t be with you, she usually stops if you tell her to hush but she is heaven when lying at your feet (even happier if allowed in your lap!!). She will briefly bark at strangers or a knock on the door but is not aggressive. She will steal candy from babies and then lick their faces. She loves to run more than any dog I have ever seen but she is not a runaway- she will come back when you call her. Since she loves to run it can be difficult to keep weight on her. She gets along great with our 2 other dogs and our cat- she will chase chickens but stops when I tell her to. Please email or call with any questions, she is a fantastic, beautiful dog!

Titan is a wonderful, 2 year old, neutered, male Weimaraner that needs a new home because we had to move for my husband’s job and he has no freedom to run around and play. Titan has had no obedience training but is overall pretty well behaved. He has shots due very soon and is housebroken. Alex gets along well with all other dogs, regardless of age or gender. He is fine with children; he has been wonderful with both our 5 year old and our crawling infant. He loves to ride in the car, although he would prefer to sit next to you on the front seat. Titan gets kenneled at night and when we are not home, otherwise he gets bored and chews. He seems to enjoy having his own little space in our home, as we find him in sleeping in his open kennel at times. Titan is eager to please and loves to run and play. Titan does have a selective diet, he can only tolerate a few brands of puppy food. If he has any other food, he develops loose stool and drops weight quickly. We want a home for Titan that can spend the time with him that he needs, as well as give him the room and freedom to run around and play.

Woof woof – Breamer here, broadcasting today to find my new ‘furrrr-ever” home! I am a handsome boy, yes, I know it is true. I was left at the shelter because my mom and dad could no longer care for me. I am pretty bummed out that I don’t have a family to teach me the ropes on being a member of a family…do you suppose you could help me?
I am 6 years old, healthy and get along with other dogs. My other family kept me outside most of the time and didn’t give me much training, but, woof! since I am so, so smart, I know in the right family I can catch up and be a super companion!
What do you say? I am gray, handsome, and affectionate, willing to learn anything and I LOVE, LOVE to play ball. I already respond to some verbal commands…won’t you give me a chance to be part of your family? Oh, and thanks to the nice ladies that saved me from that awful shelter…I was terrified and I was so hungry.

Hi, my name is Chesly and I’m so glad you’re looking at my photo! I am 4 years old. My family left me at the shelter for some reason…I think I heard them say they were getting a divorce. Not sure what that has to do with me, but here I am, homeless. I honestly did not do anything to deserve this, but if you let me be part of your family, I promise to make you proud of me. I am very, very handsome (got that docked tail goin’ on!) and I am full of energy, so if you are a runner, I would love to run with you. I bet I would love to go hiking too! I like kids…there were some in my old home. I may even be okay with cats since they scared me at the shelter… I am healthy and ready to find a family to call my own (a family that will love me forever), but in the meantime, it would be great if someone would foster me so I don’t have to stay at the kennel.. Please hurry…I’m ready to get on with life as a real dog!

Zoe is a beautiful, loving, 2 years old, female Weimaraner. She is looking for a new home because her family was unable to give her the time she needed. Zoe is high energy but has had basic obedience training and knows all the basic commands, like sit, stay and off (not allowed on furniture). Zoe is housebroken and gets along well with most other dogs (but has not been around cats.) She would do best with children older than seven or eight who she can hang out with outside. She loves to ride in the car and has been traveling since she was a puppy. Zoe does well in a crate, but is not to be trusted roaming in the house alone she is still in puppy stage. She has an easy temperament and very adaptable but needs exercise and/or a running companion.

Keoki and Samara are 8 year old gray Weimaraners. They came to our rescue from a family who, unfortunately, had to give them up due to military assignment that took them overseas.

Keoki is a happy dog that gets along well with other dogs and does well around children. He enjoys riding in the car, playing ball, he walks well on a leash, is housebroken and crate trained.
Keoki is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Samara is a cautious dog when you first meet her, but warms up quickly. She gets along with other dogs and does well around children. She enjoys riding in the car, playing ball, is housebroken and crate trained. Samara is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped.

We would like to try to place Keoki and Samara together, but will consider separating them
