Sam is a 1 ½ yr old grey Weim, you will fall in love with this guy. It breaks my heart to find him a new home, but due to our new financial situation we can no longer care for him and his brother. We also have a 6 month old baby and even though Sam will let the baby pull on his ears and kick him he will never snap at him but he plays rough and doesn’t pay attention when the baby is on the floor. Sam is definitely an indoor dog and I don’t think he would adapt well to being an outside dog. Sam hates the rain and will not even lay on his doggy bed unless his special fuzzy blanket is down. He is very sweet and very playful. Sam’s two favorite words are treat and ball. He loves tennis balls and loves to play fetch. He is not crate trained and is left in the house when we are gone. He is house broken and is easily trainable; he will scratch at back door when he needs to go out and if you can’t hear him he will pace around and look at you. He knows how to sit, stay, shake, he can guess which hand the treat is in, and when it’s feeding time he sits in front of his food and waits until told to “go ahead”. He loves hiking, going on runs, or even walk, the dog park, car rides, playing with his brother. He would love to stay with his brother Chief, they have been together since Sam was 2 months old.

Chief is a strikingly beautiful 2 ½ year old blue Weim. He is tall, lean, muscular and very strong. He is an indoor dog but needs a fenced in yard to play. He loves to run and play with his little weim brother. He loves running in open spaces, hiking, camping, and going for walks. He always wants love and hugs, he thinks he is a lap dog and will lie on top of you. He’s good with people and with children, just not a good idea with babies since he is so hyper when he plays he doesn’t pay attention to his surroundings. Chief had a bad past and an unfortunate encounter with a pit bull and now has aggression towards other dogs. If properly introduced Chief will get along with the other dog, he just has never been able to be around another female dog. Chief was a prior outside dog and loves the indoor life now and would like to stay that way. He is not crate trained; he stays in the house when we are not home and does fine. He is completely house broken; he will not tell you if he has to go out so we just have to make sure we remember so he doesn’t hold it too long. He knows sit, stay, shake, he waits in front of his food until told to “go ahead”, he knows “go lay down”, “treat?” and “outside?”. Chief would love to find a home with his little brother, Sam.

Ace is a 3 year old neutered male Weim that needs a new home because we will be moving to a house with a small yard and it is hard for me to walk him with my back trouble. He is up-to-date on shots, on heartworm prevention and is housebroken and crate trained. He loves children but would do better with a family with older kids because he is so big. He is not overly hyper but is very energetic and playful and loves to play toys. He has gotten along fine with other dogs at the place he was boarded and when my daughters bring their dogs over to play but he will bark protectively at other dogs when he is on a leash. We have never had him around cats but he acts like he would chase them when on a leash. He will ride fine in a car, but he it seems to make him nervous. He has a very funny and silly personality. He is very affectionate and eager to please. Ever since he has been a puppy, he seems very cautious of new situations. We want a home for him where he has a fenced back yard and someone who will give him the exercise and attention he deserves.

Charliegh is a 1 year old Weimaraner who has been spayed and is up to date on all of her shots. She is given a monthly heartworm pill and generally takes medicines very well. Charliegh weighs approximately 60lbs. and is very strong and athletic. Unfortunately, she needs to be outside and we do not have a fenced in yard where she can safely play. We have also had a few issues with the dog getting on furniture-it is believed her previous owners allowed this. We adopted Charliegh from a woman who worked as a paramedic so she has had to adjust to a more normal lifestyle. This is slowly happening but the dog could use obedience training. Charliegh is a very, very intelligent and would make a great companion to someone looking for a younger Weimaraner. She is also great with our son but loves his stuffed animals! Please call or email me at the following for more pictures or information. The dog must be adopted soon.

My name is Gracie and I am a 4 year old purebred dark blue/charcoal Weimaraner. I am very loving and enjoy spending as much time as I can with my family. I am extremely intelligent and can perform many different commands! While I still have a lot of energy for play time, I also like to spend lots of time laying around and napping. I enjoy spending time outdoors on walks or on free runs where I can explore and chase squirrels. I am use to running up to 5-6 miles 3-5 days a week, so if you like to run, I am a great partner! I am very eager to please and love treats as rewards. My favorite toys include tennis balls for fetching and any type of rawhide bones. I also like stuffed squeaky toys but after a few days, curiosity gets the best of me and I chew the squeaker out. I love to snuggle and despite my size, I will happily sit in your lap! I am crate trained and do stay in my crate at night and if I am home by myself. I love all types of dogs but I have never been around a cat. I love kids but I tend to play too rough with small children so NO kids under 13! I may appear thin in my photos but my vet says I am very healthy. Because I like to run and I do not over eat, I stay trim. The vet says this is good for my hips since I am so tall. I do love people food. Even though my current family does not feed me people food, I will sneak it off the table or countertop if it is left out. I do have a “big” bark and will let you know if anyone is at the door, but once I get to meet them, I will be their new best friend!
Gracie is spayed, crate and house trained and up to date on all her vaccinations. If you fall in love with her and would like to adopt her, she comes with her extra large crate, memory foam bed/blanket, a large supply of rawhide bones, 20lbs of dog food, one flea treatment and one heartworm pill. There is a $200 re-homing fee.
For questions please call Jason at 404-783-8400 or email at emilyshipp@comcast.net

Savannah is a beautiful 2.5 year AKC registered and spayed female Weim. She needs a new home because we are no longer able to give her the time and attention she deserves due to a growing family and increase in job-related travel. Savannah is energetic and playful, well-behaved, and gets along great with other dogs as well as our cat. She is gentle with our 17-month old toddler and loves to run and play with our neighbor’s older kids. She travels well, enjoys going to the dog park, and loves ice cubes! Savannah is very much a family dog; she prefers to be with her family instead of outside in the yard alone. She loves to run around and play; we have a fenced backyard so she has the freedom to run, but she doesn’t like to be left outside for too long by herself. She knows the common commands: sit, stay, down, come, leave it, paw, etc. Given the opportunity, she’ll take you for a walk (i.e. she pulls on the leash) but she’s very trainable with a bit of patience. Savannah is crate-trained, up to date on all of her vaccinations and monthly heartworm meds (records available), and is fully housebroken. We are looking for a great family for Savannah that can give her the love she needs and deserves.
If you’re interested in meeting Savannah, feel free to give me a call at 404-277-1651 or email me at sarah.sundbergjones@gmail.com. We’d be happy to arrange a visit. We are located in the Woodstock/Marietta area, north of Atlanta. We are asking for a few references that we can call to make sure that Savannah goes to a great home.

Lacey (2) is a beautiful, small, sweet, 2.5 year old, spayed, female Weim. Her family had so many kids they did not have time for her, so they took her to a shelter. Lacey is lucky we got to her in time as the shelter was full and she was on the list to be euthanized. She is cat friendly and okay with kids. She will need some obedience training as she pulls on her leash. Lacey will also need to work on her outside potty skills…
Lacey is ready to find a home for Christmas where she can be top dog and loved furever.

Clairee is an adorable approx. 1-2 year old, petite female who came to rescue from a rural Georgia kill shelter. She was picked up as a stray and her family never came looking for her. Hard to believe! Clairee gets along with other dogs and loves to play with the ball, she runs full out to chase it but hasn’t quite learned to bring it back! She also likes squeaky toys. She walks well on a leash and is very quiet. She doesn’t like her crate very much, just cries a little before settling down. She has yet to meet a stranger, and is not afraid of men. She has learned the doggie door very quickly. She’s very thin right now, but we’re working on putting some weight on her. She is absolutely precious. I’m sure she has some faults, but we haven’t found them yet!

Troy is a very handsome, neutered, housebroken 4 yr old Weim. His foster mom describes Troy as a “gentle giant.” and “83 pounds of pure love.”
Update from Troy’s foster mom:
Troy wants nothing more than to be with you and appreciates having his ears rubbed and his back scratched. He loves sitting with us on the sofa or hanging out in the yard. Troy also is a good running partner, but does better with a pinch collar as he tends to want to chase small furry things like rabbits or squirrels if he sees them while running. Troy would do best in a fenced yard, as he will bolt, getting far away very quickly if he escapes! He enjoys car rides and going to the dog park, although he is a dominant male and thinks he should be the “dog patrol” and will try to break up anything that looks like it might be a fight, even if it is just playful, so he must be watched and removed if there are aggressive dogs present. He does very well with our two Weims, and loves to wrestle and play. He is protective of the family and can demonstrate jealous behavior with other dogs, so it is important to continually reassure him. Troy is now getting used to his crate when we leave, but we have also left him out of the crate when we were gone for short periods and he seems content to sleep on the sofa. Troy can be a counter surfer, so he cannot be left with food unattended on counters or tables. He is very gentle and takes treats from your hand very nicely. Troy is okay with cats, but must be watched as he does love to chase our cat and could be too rough if we didn’t tell him “no” every time he attempts to chase the cat. Troy is equally friendly with large and small dogs and gets along well with other pets when they come to visit. Troy didn’t know any commands at first, but he is learning “sit” and “lie down.” He will jump at times, but understands “no” and will stop if commanded to do so. Troy is HW positive and is on a new protocol for treatment, which he is tolerating quite well. (Treatment takes approx. 6 months and AWCR provides all medications during this period.) He takes his medications well, although he has learned their taste and will eat around the pills in his dog food, so we now have to “camouflage” them a bit better to get him to swallow them. Troy has not been observed around small children, but we believe he will make an excellent addition to a caring family.
