Coco is a 2 year old, beautiful blue weim. Coco has spent her young life outdoors and is ready to find her place on the couch inside a warm home! Coco will need someone with the patience to teach her how to be an indoor dog! Coco is experiencing anxiety as she learns to live independently and socialize with other dogs.
Coco is a sweet, good-natured girl. She wants desparately to be with her family at all times. She does have some separation anxiety, particularly if she senses that her family is leaving – either for a while or a short period. She need a home with at least a 6 foot fence or one without a fence that would be committed to leash walking/running her for exercise. She has learned to relax in her crate and is best crated when her family is out.

The AWCR uses a common process in its rescue program. Read about our Adoption Process procedures.
We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. If you wish to make a donation, please use our online giving page.
Of course, financial assistance is typically our greatest need because of the costs encountered with rescuing our beautiful gray & blue friends ($300 per dog on average). But, there are several other ways for you to contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue.

Coco is doing fantastic here at Funnybones. When she first came to stay with us she was quite anxious when confined – but now that she is acclimated she is very relaxed in her crate – she just lies there watching the world go by. When she is in her crate she eats all of her food, plays with her toys and does not have any accidents or tear up her bedding. She loves giving kisses and cuddling close to people and she is getting more confident about meeting strangers. Also, since she’s been boarding with us she hasn’t met a dog that she can’t play with – big or small. She’s very food motivated so she’ll be easy to train, but she doesn’t seem to be food aggressive – she has been sharing her food nicely with other dogs.
Miss Coco is a true gem who deserves the very best ‘forever home’. We are enjoying getting to know her.
