Frankie is a 1 year old spayed female purebred Weimaraner. She’s really sweet and loving and will follow her favourite person around the house. She is crate trained but has separation anxiety, so would love someone that can be home with her to help her adjust to her new family. She lived with a five year old and a baby so is familiar with kids, but was crated so often that I’m not sure how she
> would be with kids all day. She is quite high energy, so I would probably recommend an adult only home, or kids in their teens. She did bite her previous human dad once…she was on the couch and he tried to physically move her when she bit him. It wasn’t super hard and was probably more of a warning than anything, but in the nature of full disclosure, there it is. She will get off of furniture if told “off”, so that was the work around her parents used. She’s nervous in new environments and will pace around as she gets used to it, but loves a good snuggle on the couch (or bed, if she’s allowed up there!). She really just wants to be loved!! She did have two Frenchie sisters and is generally okay with other dogs. She does seem protective of me (foster mom) and we keep a close eye on her interaction with our dogs when I’m giving or receiving puppy attention. She’s up to date on her rabies and we’ll be updating the rest of her vaccinations today and doing a heart worm test to begin heart worm preventatives. I can’t emphasize enough how sweet this baby is and how happy she would be in a loving home that gives her the exercise and attention she craves!
We are asking a $200 re-homing fee. Frankie is located in Atlanta, GA.

The AWCR uses a common process in its rescue program. Read about our Adoption Process procedures.

We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. If you wish to make a donation, please use our online giving page.

Of course, financial assistance is typically our greatest need because of the costs encountered with rescuing our beautiful gray & blue friends ($300 per dog on average). But, there are several other ways for you to contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue.
