Meet Holly! This beautiful approx. 4-5 yr old girl with a docked tail is very smart (knows basic commands) and is very outgoing. Holly loves to ride in the car, is okay with other large dogs and children! Holly hasn’t had a great life so far as she has been rehomed several times by families that just didn’t have time for her and obviously didn’t do research on the breed; Weims need lots of exercise and structure; they need to be part of the family, not put outside. We are about to change all that, sweet girl! Unfortunately for Holly, those other families did not keep her on monthly heartworm, so now she will need to endure heartworm treatment. Holly has started on Doxycycline for 30 days and then will receive two painful injections, 24 hours apart. After treatment, Holly will need to stay quiet for 30 days, leash walk only. This sweet girl needs a chance to have a forever family that will care for her always. Will you be Holly’s forever family?

The AWCR uses a common process in its rescue program. Read about our Adoption Process procedures.

We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. If you wish to make a donation, please use our online giving page.

Of course, financial assistance is typically our greatest need because of the costs encountered with rescuing our beautiful gray & blue friends ($300 per dog on average). But, there are several other ways for you to contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue.

How much are the shots and pills for Holly? I am interested (owner of deceased Greta, your Stella) but I have two short trips and will not be home until July 23.

    thanks so much,
