Ilse is an eleven week old weimador (Weimaraner mom, black lab dad). Very laid back, gentle and calm.
Arrived May 19, 2015. Her 4 identical siblings have been adopted leaving her devastated at being alone.
Ilse’s adoption fee is $100. She has had her initial DHLPP and has been de-wormed. She comes with a certificate for initial vet visit, rabies vaccine and spaying, when of age. Certificate services are covered by designated veterinarians. Non-designated veterinarians may incur additional cost to adopter. Spaying is
mandated (form provided to validate procedure) and will be monitored. The adoption process begins with completion of a questionnaire which will quickly be followed up with contact from a shelter representative to answer questions and go over the requirements to adopt.
Adopters must have either secure fencing or an acceptable means of keeping Ilse safe when outdoors
and to ensure she has sufficient exercise. A home visit may be required.
Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a ‘No kill’ shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines-deworming-vet exam-standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly prevention heart worm
treatment. Dogs are walked daily and/or have fenced area playtime. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquishment’s. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.

Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4.
Contact or visit CSHS,
4823 Helen Hwy. 75N,
Sautee, GA 30571,

The shelter is located 3 miles south of the alpine town of Helen in the NE GA mountains.

The AWCR uses a common process in its rescue program. Read about our Adoption Process procedures.

We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. If you wish to make a donation, please use our online giving page.

Of course, financial assistance is typically our greatest need because of the costs encountered with rescuing our beautiful gray & blue friends ($300 per dog on average). But, there are several other ways for you to contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue.
