Jag is an easy going 7 year old male Weim that is still a puppy at heart with a beautiful, soft grey coat and docked tail. He was surrendered by his family because they could no longer care for him (mom worked long hours). He enjoys his plush toys and cuddling up with them at bedtime. He is fine to leave alone with other dogs as companions and will curl up on the coach once you head out. He puts up with baths and looks forwards to cuddles and treats afterwards. He walks great on a leash and enjoys leisure strolls around the neighborhood and his good at fetch with tennis balls. He knows basic commands like sit and stay, Jag is a smart guy and has the capacity to learn much more. He has not spent much time with cats or children but judging by his gentle mannerisms they should not be a major issue. He really is a sweet boy and perfect for a laid back family WITH ANOTHER DOG. If you have a 6? or taller fence (or no fence – 4? fence won’t work), like to go on long walks, Jag could be your next best friend. Jag does not like to be crated

The AWCR uses a common process in its rescue program. Read about our Adoption Process procedures.

We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. If you wish to make a donation, please use our online giving page.

Of course, financial assistance is typically our greatest need because of the costs encountered with rescuing our beautiful gray & blue friends ($300 per dog on average). But, there are several other ways for you to contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue.

Is Jag still available? Do you know how he does with water? And where is he currently if not adopted? We have a 10 yo Weimie female and would need to see how they were together. When she was 5 we rescued a 7.5yo male and she was fine. We lost our Willie to Cushings Disease and ever since it’s obvious Gracie misses having a buddy.
