KC is a 60 lb, 8-year-old, spayed female Weimaraner. KC was surrendered to rescue because her family could no longer care for her. KC is very affectionate and loves to be around people. She is crate, leash, and obedience trained, and would benefit from someone willing to reinforce her training and spend time with her. KC is playful with other dogs, energetic and her foster mom says she loves a daily run. She is good with children and okay with cats.
KC has Immune Mediated Polyarthritis, which is an autoimmune disease, recognized by symptoms of “lameness” in her hind legs and general “achy” joints due to the inflammation in the joints caused by the polyarthritis. Currently, KC is in remission from her disease and is not taking any medications. To learn more about auto-immune disease in dogs: Immune-Mediated Polyarthritis in Dogs
The AWCR uses a common process in its rescue program. Read about our Adoption Process procedures.
We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. If you wish to make a donation, please use our online giving page.
Of course, financial assistance is typically our greatest need because of the costs encountered with rescuing our beautiful gray & blue friends ($300 per dog on average). But, there are several other ways for you to contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue.
