Jordan is a beautiful purebred, 7 year old, neutered, male Blue Weim that needs a new home because we are moving for work and will be living in a small apartment. As with all Weims, Jordan is a very loving and he loves to cuddle. He is okay with children, although he will do best with children older than eight or ten. He loves to play catch.
Jordan is up-to-date on his shots, on monthly heartworm meds and is housebroken. Jordan gets along well with most other dogs and is okay with cats. Jordan can do okay in a crate, but he is fine left free roaming in the house alone.
Jordan is afraid of thunderstorms and he barks at strangers in the house, but he warms up quickly. Jordan is eager to please and would make an excellent walking or running companion. He is chipped. We want a home for Jordan that can spend the time with him that he needs.

Chief is a strikingly beautiful 2 ½ year old blue Weim. He is tall, lean, muscular and very strong. He is an indoor dog but needs a fenced in yard to play. He loves to run and play with his little weim brother. He loves running in open spaces, hiking, camping, and going for walks. He always wants love and hugs, he thinks he is a lap dog and will lie on top of you. He’s good with people and with children, just not a good idea with babies since he is so hyper when he plays he doesn’t pay attention to his surroundings. Chief had a bad past and an unfortunate encounter with a pit bull and now has aggression towards other dogs. If properly introduced Chief will get along with the other dog, he just has never been able to be around another female dog. Chief was a prior outside dog and loves the indoor life now and would like to stay that way. He is not crate trained; he stays in the house when we are not home and does fine. He is completely house broken; he will not tell you if he has to go out so we just have to make sure we remember so he doesn’t hold it too long. He knows sit, stay, shake, he waits in front of his food until told to “go ahead”, he knows “go lay down”, “treat?” and “outside?”. Chief would love to find a home with his little brother, Sam.

Sebastian is a beautiful, blue, neutered male, 7 yr old Weim who was turned into a rural Georgia shelter with 3 other dogs because their family lost their home. Sebastian is a sweet, calm, good natured boy who did not get the exercise he needed, so he will start a diet and a healthy new life-style that includes daily exercise immediately. Sebastian knows basic commands, likes to play ball for short periods, and he is housebroken. As we get to know him more, we will update his bio.

My name is Gracie and I am a 4 year old purebred dark blue/charcoal Weimaraner. I am very loving and enjoy spending as much time as I can with my family. I am extremely intelligent and can perform many different commands! While I still have a lot of energy for play time, I also like to spend lots of time laying around and napping. I enjoy spending time outdoors on walks or on free runs where I can explore and chase squirrels. I am use to running up to 5-6 miles 3-5 days a week, so if you like to run, I am a great partner! I am very eager to please and love treats as rewards. My favorite toys include tennis balls for fetching and any type of rawhide bones. I also like stuffed squeaky toys but after a few days, curiosity gets the best of me and I chew the squeaker out. I love to snuggle and despite my size, I will happily sit in your lap! I am crate trained and do stay in my crate at night and if I am home by myself. I love all types of dogs but I have never been around a cat. I love kids but I tend to play too rough with small children so NO kids under 13! I may appear thin in my photos but my vet says I am very healthy. Because I like to run and I do not over eat, I stay trim. The vet says this is good for my hips since I am so tall. I do love people food. Even though my current family does not feed me people food, I will sneak it off the table or countertop if it is left out. I do have a “big” bark and will let you know if anyone is at the door, but once I get to meet them, I will be their new best friend!
Gracie is spayed, crate and house trained and up to date on all her vaccinations. If you fall in love with her and would like to adopt her, she comes with her extra large crate, memory foam bed/blanket, a large supply of rawhide bones, 20lbs of dog food, one flea treatment and one heartworm pill. There is a $200 re-homing fee.
For questions please call Jason at 404-783-8400 or email at emilyshipp@comcast.net

Leo is a stunning, blue, male, 11 month old Weim. His owner left him at the vet to be euthanized because he had a broken leg. Leo is now recovering from surgery and healing nicely….he doesn’t even know he had surgery. Leo is a big boy (74 lbs.) and is very high energy. Leo is a typical, young weim in both activity and behaviors…Therefore, he needs to be in a family with older children because he can be “mouthy” (over 12 years old) and no small animals, including other dogs & cats. He is very smart and learns quickly – both good and bad habits! Therefore, he needs to be in a home that is willing to set boundaries and train him properly, using positive training techniques.

He is still recovering from surgery and is improving every day, but it will take some time for him to fully recovered – though you’d never know it by him! He needs to be leashed walked for the next 12 weeks (as of 11/1/2011) to make sure that he continues to “use” his leg – though he really wants to run! We hope to start swim therapy with him soon!

Annie is a 1 ½ year old Weimaraner who is very sweet and lovable. Unfortunately Annie has a habit of chewing up things that she should not and obviously needs more attention than what we are able to give her at this time. She has grown up as an outside dog and has 200 acres to run on and a pond to play in. She has 3 sisters that are a little older and get aggravated with her because they do not have her energy, so she would probably love to have a friend to play with that is as excited about life as she is. She loves to go into the pond up to her belly and plays well with the cats as long as they do not run from her, because if they run she will chase. Annie will allow a bath but does not really care for the wetting part but lays down for the rubbing part. She has never met a stranger that she didn’t like as long as they allow her to bark at them for a minute or so. She has never shown teeth to anyone and has always been very timid when approached.
She loves children and LOVES to play with them, although she can get over excited and knock them over. She is very food motivated and loves to learn tricks. She knows how to sit, lie down, and play dead “roll over” and is trying to master the stay command- but with all that energy it is really hard! She is a blue Weimaraner and could have been registered CKC but we chose not to register her. Her tail is docked and she is up to date on her shots and heartworm preventative. We love Annie with all our hearts and want her to go to a wonderful home with lots of joy. If you are interested in Annie, please contact Christie Spires at (478-945-3017) or email me at gacwgirl@windstream.net.

He is a very well mannered young Weim, but still needs consistent obedience training. He walks well on a leash, is crate trained (but can be left free in the house with no problem), and housebroken (he knows how to use a doggie door).

Murray is a very handsome blue, male Weim (approx. 2 yrs. old) with a natural tail. Murray has the most beautiful, shinny coat! He is a happy, high energy boy and seems very eager to please. He likes to lean on you, and loves to get a back scratch…and he loves to go for walks. He would make a wonderful companion and a great running partner! Murray gets along fine with other dogs, but has not been cat tested. As with all young Weims, Murray will need a family that will be willing to provide lots of exercise and obedience training. As we get to know more about Murray, we will update his profile.
