Hi, my name is Comet. I am approx. 1-2 yrs old, neutered (this coming week) and I have a natural tail…(ok, so somebody told me that!) Up until a few days ago, I lived outside under an abandoned house and every few days, a nice man came and put some food out for me and my sister, Cayla, so we wouldn’t starve. We got water from a nearby lake. I am not really sure how we got to the house, but I am glad we did because we were so afraid when the rain came. A wonderful lady came and put us in her truck. She told us we would never have to worry about being afraid or hungry again. I went to the vet for the first time, and got all of my shots (that was not fun!), but then the doctor told the nice lady that I had heartworms. It made her very sad. She said that I was such an adorable, 59 lb. little guy, and that when I gained some weight and got healthy, the rescue people would make the worms go away. The nice lady said I was a wiggle worm, and that when I learned how to be an inside dog, and how to walk on a leash (whatever that is), I would make someone an amazing companion. The nice lady also said that I should live with a family that has experience with dogs like me…Weimers. So, now I’m waiting to find out what this ‘living with a family’ is all about. I hope you hurry cause it sounds like fun!

The man that gave me the shots said I didn’t have any nasty heartworms (the lady clapped!) The lady said that I was such a precious, sweet, little 49 lb. girl, and that when I gained some weight and got healthy, I would be gorgeous. The nice lady said I was a wiggle worm, like my brother, and that when I learned how to be an inside dog, and how to walk on a leash (whatever that is), I would make someone an amazing companion. The nice lady also said that I should live with a family that has experience with dogs like me…Weimers. So, now I’m waiting to find out what this ‘living with a family’ is all about. Hello,
Vick is a beautiful, sweet, friendly Weimaraner that we rescued from being sent to a shelter. He just turned one this month. He is very energetic and gets along well with people and other dogs. He has a tendency to get over excited when he meets new people and likes to jump but he is very smart and extremely trainable. He is housebroken and can be left alone for short periods of time without being in a crate. He is very eager to please and very loyal. Vick needs an owner who can spend time playing with him because that’s what he loves to do best. He also likes to snuggle on the couch for hours if that’s what you prefer. He is very adaptable and loving but he can also be a great watch dog by barking if he senses danger. He has been neutered and is up-to-date with his shots. He may be a mix with a lab or possibly pit bull.

Murray is a very handsome blue, male Weim (approx. 2 yrs. old) with a natural tail. Murray has the most beautiful, shinny coat! He is a happy, high energy boy and seems very eager to please. He likes to lean on you, and loves to get a back scratch…and he loves to go for walks. He would make a wonderful companion and a great running partner! Murray gets along fine with other dogs, but has not been cat tested. As with all young Weims, Murray will need a family that will be willing to provide lots of exercise and obedience training. As we get to know more about Murray, we will update his profile.

Phoenix is a young (approx. 2 yrs), small, male, blue Weimaraner with a natural tail. He is a sweet, happy boy with a great personality. He has lots of energy but seem very sweet. We will update his profile as soon as we get to know Phoenix better.

Lucky is a very handsome 4 yr old silver male with a natural tail. He’s a strong and healthy dog and would make a great running partner. Lucky is very people-friendly, loves attention and knows how to sit on command. He is a very happy boy running around yard exploring and howls when he wants in. Lucky likes to ride in the car and loads easily in the crate in the car. An ideal home for Lucky will have an owner experienced with large breeds who loves to exercise, and can be patient with him. Lucky would do best in a home with no small children or small pets. Lucky is looking for a family to call his own.

Spencer is an absolutely adorable Weim-Lab mix with a natural tail. He’s had his first puppy shots. Spencer loves to go on long walks with his foster brother.

Spencer’s foster mom says Spencer is learning to ‘sit’ and is working on housebreaking. He is also working on crate training.

This sweet, mellow, inquisitive, little puppy is looking for a family that is ready to teach him the ropes, and as with all young Weims, take him for obedience training. Spencer will also need a family that is very active.

Sidney went on a very, very long journey to find her forever home. Mike & Megan are so excited to have found you, sweet girl, and they will love you always… congrats to Mike & Megan on your new addition.

Granite is a gorgeous, granite-grey colored Weim mix (lab) with a natural tail. He is a people-person puppy who just “loves” attention, and gets along well with everyone and all dogs. He is very active and playful. He loves to run, go for long walks and riding in the car. Granite is housebroken and up-to-date on all shots. Granite would do well in a very active family. If you are looking for a running companion, you couldn’t do any better than Granite.
