Hello world, I’m Maya. I am a 40lb, super adorable, super loveable 7 month old puppy. I am a sweet girl who loves to be loved. My foster mommy has crate trained me, house broken me, taught me how to use a doggy door and is teaching me my basic commands such as sit, down, stay, etc. I get along great will kids of all ages and dogs of all sizes. My attitude towards cats is yet to be determined. I enjoy playing and having fun, but also like to just sit in my crate for a little alone time. I have lots of love to give so if you are looking for a lifelong friend, ADOPT ME.

Oliver is a 5-6 month old male Weim puppy. He is very affectionate and very much a velcro dog. Like all young Weims, Oliver has a lot of energy and will need to be provided adequate exercise and consistent obedience training to become a well balanced adult Weim. He is highly food motivated and learns very quickly. He knows sit, down, is crate trained, walks fairly well on a leash (but could use some additional training) and is housebroken (he uses a doggie door, but sometimes has an occasional accident in the house). Since Oliver is still very young, he has a lot of puppy behaviors like chewing and jumping. His foster family is working with him on improving these behaviors, but ongoing training will be needed.

When Oliver first came into rescue, he became very sick. After several days at the vet, he was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Osteodystropy (HOD). HOD is a bone disease that usually affects young, rapidly growing, large breed dogs. The disease produces severe lameness and pain and usually affects multiple limbs. The cause of the disease is currently unknown. After several days of supportive care, Oliver made a dramatic recovery and today shows no signs of HOD. However, the symptons can recur or they may resolve on their own. There is no way to tell whether he will relapse again.

There are many good articles about HOD on the internet (http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=2+1561&aid=446), and we highly encourage you to read as much about this disease as possible if you are interested in adopting Oliver. His foster Mom would also be glad to talk to you about Oliver’s particular situation, if you are interested.

Oliver is neutered, up-to-date on his shots, microchipped, and ready for his furever home.

Spencer is an absolutely adorable Weim-Lab mix with a natural tail. He’s had his first puppy shots. Spencer loves to go on long walks with his foster brother.

Spencer’s foster mom says Spencer is learning to ‘sit’ and is working on housebreaking. He is also working on crate training.

This sweet, mellow, inquisitive, little puppy is looking for a family that is ready to teach him the ropes, and as with all young Weims, take him for obedience training. Spencer will also need a family that is very active.

Ranger is a sweet, purebred, gray Weim with a docked tail. He’s had his first puppy shots. He is a typical active, young Weim that will need lots and lots of exercise, and consistent obedience training.

Ali is a beautiful, happy, energetic, blue Weim with a docked tail. Ali is up-to-date on her shots, spayed, and housebroken. Like all young Weimies, Ali will need a family that is willing to provide obedience training. Ali loves to play with other dogs, and is very energetic, so she’ll need tons of exercise. Ali would make a wonderful running companion or just an adorable snuggle bunny. Won’t you give Ali a place to call home?

Update: Ali’s foster mom and dad said she is just the sweetest girl ever. She sleeps all night in her crate and loves to play all day with her foster brother and sister. Ali is extremely loving and affectionate.

Pascha is a sweet, blue Weim with a docked tail. She is energetic and curious, gets along with other dogs, is housebroken, and knows a few basic commands. Pascha is up-to-date on her vaccinations. Pascha will need continued obedience training and a family that is willing to spend lots of time with her giving her plenty of exercise, as she is a typical, young Weimie.
