Are you looking for your new best friend? Want a buddy who loves being by your side? How about a traveling companion? Lonely? Then look no
further- Theo is for you! Theo is approx 8 years old, gentle, and is ready to show you how much love he has to give. He is house broken (uses a doggie door like a pro), good with other dogs (but cannot be in a home with cats), and loves ALL humans (kids and the elderly!) Theo loves to ride in the car (but should not be left in the car for even a short errand) and walks wonderfully on a leash. He is a smart boy that can sit, shake, and lie down. He is very tolerant- likes baths and doesn’t mind when the kids decide to make him wear hats and human clothes. He is a handsome boy and gets so much attention wherever he goes. He has put on weight like a champ but still needs to gain a little more. Typical of the breed, Theo loves his humans so much that he does get very upset when left behind unless he has other calm canine friends to show him how to be settled when home alone. He is currently at a foster home with 4 senior Weims and he follows their lead – if they are calm and relaxed, then Theo is calm and relaxed. Meet our Theo and he will melt your heart. (Unfortunately, when Theo was neutered, a large mass was removed from inside the testicle which turned out to be deep cell mass, so while the mass was removed with clean margins, the vet feels that there is a possibility it will show up again at some point. Therefore, we’ve made the decision to keep Theo in our rescue program and look for a permanent foster home. AWCR pays for all vetting, monthly heartworm, and any necessary medications for Theo…we only ask that you pay for his food). If you would like to consider Theo, and have additional questions, please submit an adoption application and we will call to answer all of your questions.

The AWCR uses a common process in its rescue program. Read about our Adoption Process procedures.

We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. If you wish to make a donation, please use our online giving page.

Of course, financial assistance is typically our greatest need because of the costs encountered with rescuing our beautiful gray & blue friends ($300 per dog on average). But, there are several other ways for you to contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue.
