Wilma is a 2 year old, gray Weim with a docked tail. She is spayed, up-to-date on all shots, and microchipped.
Wilma came to our rescue from a considerate owner who recognized they didn’t have the time to devote to Wilma because of work/life situations. Wilma is a very attractive Weim who is housebroken but not crate trained, but has done fine in a home. She not only does well with other dogs, but thrives on their companionship. She has not had a lot of interaction with children, so as with all large dogs, it will be important to ensure that she is supervised when around young children. It is unknown how she interacts with cats. Wilma really wants human interaction and exercise, and wants to be included in the daily activities of a home. She appears to be a very affectionate dog who would do well with an active family, and a lot of love. As we get to know more about Wilma, we’ll provide updates.
The AWCR uses a common process in its rescue program. Read about our Adoption Process procedures.
We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. If you wish to make a donation, please use our online giving page.
Of course, financial assistance is typically our greatest need because of the costs encountered with rescuing our beautiful gray & blue friends ($300 per dog on average). But, there are several other ways for you to contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue.
