Winston is an approx. 3-5 yr old playful, smaller gray male Weim with a natural tail. He is good with other dogs (big and small), kids and sleeps nicely in a crate. Winston is one SWEET dog who just wants to give love and kisses. He is very gentle, walks well on a leash, house broken, rides wonderfully in the car, and very laid back for a younger weim. He loves cuddling with his humans but also doesn’t mind playing outside alone and taking afternoon snoozes on the deck! He currently is crated when leaving the house and doesn’t seem to mind one bit. He doesn’t mind baths, kids playing with him, and is very gentle taking treats- there isnt much that annoys this laid back boy. He is just so happy to have humans and a real home- poor Winston was picked up as a stray. He could use some gentle obedience (jumps a little when greeted, counter surfs, will hop on furniture unless you say no). Winston sits well, loves a ball, and to fetch. He cant wait to be a part of your family!

The AWCR uses a common process in its rescue program. Read about our Adoption Process procedures.

We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. If you wish to make a donation, please use our online giving page.

Of course, financial assistance is typically our greatest need because of the costs encountered with rescuing our beautiful gray & blue friends ($300 per dog on average). But, there are several other ways for you to contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue.

I am so very interested in WInston! I have had four weims over the years, all rescues. Three males, one female.

Here’s my situation. I am planning to retire in December and will be able to be with my dog (whoever it turns out to be) full time.

Until then, I will still be working, but would consider hiring a walker to spend and hour with him every day at mid day.

Ideally if Winston could stay with his foster family until I retire that would be awesome. But I don’t want to miss the opportunity to give this boy his forever home.

The owner of the rescue organization who brought me my last boy, and my veterinarian would be happy to provide references for me.

I am in the suburbs of Nashville Tennessee and would be happy to travel to bring Winston home.

    Thank you for your consideration.
